LOL yeah but you got abit of time from chick to get them outside. Or get you a duck lol dog house works just fine for mine. Course the 2 breeds of duck i have arent know for being flyers. they wont even go over the 3 foot fence thats around their pen.

True true. I'd get ducks, but I don't really see the point of keeping them? I want some down the road, but more because they're beautiful, and to bake with their eggs. Other than that, though, don't really see a point, so I'd rather start with chickens

I wouldn't be so bothered if it didn't last so long. I would really prefer about three months of winter not six . At least it seems like six. It stays so cold I can't work outside and I'm an outdoors person.

I can certainly imagine that -- it's sort of the opposite here. The summer is so uncomfortable. This time of year I am getting so much done outdoors.

Ducks are great. I raise Muscovy and they are great meat birds and lay well. Delicious!
