Tell us about your chickens.

I completely understand all that you are saying and I agree with less government. Especially since I come from NY where the taxes are high and people come from other states because the benefits are more here.

I have a DD and hers who live in TX. They figured with the extra taxes they'd have to pay it wouldn't be worth it for them to make the move back to NY. Even if she could find a teaching job here. While the pay would be more the tax liability would make things even.

I still have a soft spot for the state of Alabama. Perhaps some folks don't understand what can happen when you cut down all the trees. I have been to Israel and the mountains are completely bare. It's really a shame.

The wife and I have looked at property in AL but we'd sure have to be outside the city to insure peace and quiet. While I'm retired she has a couple of years to go.

I'm all for minding my own business with my neighbors. As far as animals are concerned? Lord have mercy if the dogs in this neighborhood were barking last night and I think someone was egging them on. My point being dogs are definitely more of a nuisance than chickens.

Even after the family transfers out, We're still planning to make a yearly trip south. Believe it or not I follow the news on what's going on down here and not just the football.
