Miriel promptly flew in a backwards loop.

Selena held her hand out over the stream and said, "Adurna risa!" A large ball of water detached itself from the stream and hovered over her silver palm.
 
Miriel promptly flew in a clockwise spiral.

Selena murmured something, and the orb of water immediately began changing colors. When it stopped changing colors, it had stripes in the colors of the rainbow.
 
"good, now rotate your wing arms in thier sockets so you are hovering parralel to the ground" aSaphira said. arya nodded her head "now stream the water into a tube and freeze it in one inch sections, starting from left to right." arya said
 
Miriel did so, the late afternoon (I'm assuming that it's late afternoon) sun making her wings glow.

Selena nodded and murmured another spell. The water moved into a horizontal tube and froze from left to right in one-inch sections. Selena had not ended the previous spell, so each of the eight sections of ice was a different color.
 
Demeter shifted into her wolf form and padded softly down the beach, the wind ruffling her her. She stopped and looked around, still not quite believing that she and Angravel had actually made it to the island.
 
"good, now breathe fire on this rock for as long as you can" aSaphira said landing on a ledge. Arya nodded her aprooval "very good, now go meditate on the stump over there" arya said pointing to the stump about 20 feet from where she was sitting.
