she put her daggar back in its sheath when she had finished shining it. "are we going to leave yet?" windstorm thought privately to Alexa. "why don't we practice blocking our minds from others?" suggested Alexa. "you go first," offered Windstorm. she thought very hard about her daggar until her mind was empty of everything else. she could feel Windstorm trying to break in. she eventually gave up; Alexa had a inpenatrable mind. "your turn!" Alexa thought. Windstorm blocked her mind very efficiently, but Alexa was patient, and on accident, Windstorm thought, "i wonder how long it is till we leave?" and therefore opened her mind to Alexa. Alexa dove into her mind, examining a memory or two of Alexa and Windstorm as younger girls, then bringing her consiousness back to herself. "you need more practice." Alexa said. "with someone less persistent than you!" Windstorm added.then Alexa put her sword back in her scabbard and took out her daggar, polishing that too. Windstorm shifted her weight under Alexa. she was eager to start the journey.
