O well could be worse I suppose.
I introduced my new birds today ( I know I only had them like a week), I kinda messed up the quarentine by putting the cages side by side. By the time I thought about it it was to late they were there for a few days. So chances are IF they had any thing that my birds already got it. The lady I got them from swore up and down they didnt have any thing and the rest of her birds all looked very healthy. The 6 month old rooster went in thinking he was top dog......then got wupped up on and put in his place by my smallest hen! lmao. The 2 wyondottes are ok, they have been staying by them selves and kinda scared of the other birds. The big Black Rock rooster on the other hand, the one i was so worried about starting a fight with my Goose has not had any problums at all. He actually seems to get along with the goose and they both just kinda ignore each other. I noticed though that the hens didnt even try to peck him into place they just accepted him as just another barred rock. Im guessing its cause he is the same color as the 5 so they just saw him as just another one of the chickens lol. Really enjoying him though, every morning I hear him crowing in the back yard. Cant help but put a smile on my face. I dont know if they neighbors like it lol, have a loud rooster and a loud goose (shes quite the talker) but where I live there are no rules or laws against em so im legal on it. No one has complained yet, one of my neighbors though has chickens and is looking for a rooster and I almost thought about giving them Elvis ( my americauna, or well thats what she said he was dont know if he is pure bread or not. I will try to get picks in the next few days along with my coop set up) but I like him to much, hes pretty cool. And well Rocky (the barred rock) Ya same thing lol, like em both. the kids love watching the chickens too. And both roosters, even the 2 year old BR are both pretty mellow birds. Not like some roosters I have seen when i was a id that chased me around the pen at my grandpas lol.
