Alaska Chicken Lover's Soup for the Cold!!

Pioneer meats is at Parks and Pittman Road....in the Pioneer Mall. Lisa is WONDERFUL to work with when she's not slammed with orders.....we hate referring
anyone to her anymore because we usually get put on the back burner now when we do have meat. So we have learned to process a lot of it ourselves. Chunk up
the meat we want for pepper sticks and summer sausage and take it in to her later on when she's not as busy.

We used to use Indian Valley all the time, we loved their work. But as soon as we found out we weren't getting our own meat back that was the end of that.....If
that doesnt bother you then they do make a wonderful product.

Deb is right. You only get your own meat back most places if you just have it ground. Any processed will be placed in a common pot. They do clean up the meat themselves if it's not up to their quality requirements but it is a bummer not knowing what folks did to their meat when one goes to such trouble to keep it clean...

That said, of all the places we have used over the years the quality of Indian valley's product has consistently been the best, overall. We usually grind our own burger anyway and make most sausage tthat doesn't require smoking ourselves (breakfast sausage and Italian for a couple) If you can do it that's the best way.

To a heavy duty professional model, I will say get the best you can, if you're doing any amount at all... Its a long hard process if your grinder is marginal and you have a couple hundred lbs of burger or sausage to do....
