Alaska Chicken Lover's Soup for the Cold!!

I have been repeatedly flagged over on "you know whos" List in farm and garden, and I am fully within the rules!
Now I am not allowed to post again till I verify by phone.... sigh....

What is it your selling that they are flagging? I know Im beginning to get irratated with craigs list. I quit posting stuff for sale on there because its a pain and if some one you know who doesnt like you figures out its you, or just some punk kid wants to they flag you and cause you more problums then any thing else.

Oo ok I was just curios.

Laptop took a dump, am on the desktop for now, but I'll be working on that for awhile. So if I'm only here sporadically, it's because I'm in jail for murdering my computer.

Donna! We need to figure a time tomorrow, gonna try and get Sam moving in the AM for showers as we have someone coming to plow between 2-3.... send me a note on FB and we'll play it by ear.

No. I've seen you post about it in the past, but I'm not sure if we're in a position yet to be a part of one. But I love the idea.

I may step away from BYC for a while... I'm sick and tired of offering advice and having people slap me down and tell me I'm wrong. Not on this thread, but others. And I swear, the next time I hear of someone in Florida saying that they have 500 watts of heat lamps on their girls because "they're my pets and I don't want them to be cold!" you WILL hear the scream from here.

It's 15 F-1ng degrees with a windchill near 0F here, I have NO heat on my 3 month olds in a non-insulated non-draft-free hoop pen, and they are happy and healthy and running around just fine.

This is the only thread I am on here anymore. People try to give good advice I am sure, but I need info from people who raise chickens in Alaska. As for the heat, geeze, I have heard that sort of stuff too many times. My girls aren't heated either. The coop wasn't insulated last year and they did fine. I did insulate them this year, though experience tells me I didn't really need to (we get a bit colder than your neck of the woods probably) but that's it... If I had to heat my chicken coop I probably wouldn't have chickens. What I can't believe is someone in FLORIDA is putting a heat lamp on birds? Its crazy.....
Raw milk is the only kind I want to drink......
