Not to mention not having any grass once done... lol Most of mine that I'll have to cull in the future will have one of two destinations; if they have pretty feathers they're for crafts (mine or to sell) if they don't, they'll be used for bait for trapping this winter. No critter gets wasted here!

You won't believe me when I tell you this, but chickens make HORRIBLE trapping bait........

I don't know what it is, but for 5 years we have tried and they won't come anywhere near domestic animals. They really have
nothing to do with dead goats!@ lol

It's gotta be your critters, because a friend uses chicken wings to trap lynx with

They like the 'look' of it more than the smell. I think he gets marten with em too. This will be our first year trapping but he's been doing it for years and is gonna help, I'm excited!!

IIF, Sorry about your chick. It sounds like it was the right thing to do.

Deb, I can't go with you now, but I want to go when you and Donna go together! I really think it's Tori and Jeremy's turn to come to us!.

Yea, Cats, Martin and Mink are more visual, that's why pie tins work great too! lol......

I don't know what it is, but we have had a couple of piles of bait (chickens, parts etc) and they won't touch them.....So we
stick to the natural things for them. Moose parts.....Road kill list moose etc....

Good luck trapping, It's a blast! Been at it since I was 8 years old.....Luckily I also married a trapper....If ya ever need
extra hints I love to share some of mine....(even if you don't ask)....LOL!

WW, the top pic, on the left...is that the little mystery bantam? It's going to be a beauty!

I think so, and YES very pretty! Actually ALL of them are feathering out very prettily. I'm rearranging chickens tomorrow, I'll get some better pics.

Pie tins! And I've heard flagging tape too...lol Isn't it strange that what works in one place doesn't in another? I read LOTS on trapperman and it's the strangest things that you see... I love to talk trapping and fur... !!

I gotta get back on the road kill list. But most of the scraps go to the dogs. They all just got moose legs from a friend that got road kill... happy pups they were!
