And then there were 13...

Processed one of my meat birds today. He weighed in at 9.85 live weight and 5.65 completely processed. I think the innards weighed 1.5 or something close to that. So I'm guessing the other few pounds were lost on the feet and skin. I have a couple pics that I'll get on here later.

I completely agree that it's the parents fault, BUT that being said, it makes the actions of the kids no less irritating...lol

It was WAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY too hot today to try and start butchering chickens.... course I didn't realize that until I started.

And then it was too late.

After taking my hubby to town to catch his plane; I came home to one hatched
5 pips (only one more is due tomorrow the others are supposed to hatch on the 10th!)
So the hatching as already begun early!

Lets hope they all hatch tomorrow so I can clean the incubators and the hatcher!
