IIF keep your eyes open, my sister in law took one a couple of years ago that decided to crawl through a 3x3 window.....(DLP) and the bear
squared at 8+....they are sneaky!

Now, my dilemma, is there an ap for BYC? lol.......

Another reason I only hunt where I live... I can't memorize ALL that crap!!

Deb, what do you think about the new rule about being able to sell black bear hides. I think it's going to help control the population... I mean once you've have one rugged or mounted, why get another? I know some people toss the fur, but I just CAAAANNNN'TTTTT do that!!!

WW, I think selling bear hides can be good.....I'm not so sure it's the best thing for
Alaska's resources (putting a price on trophies) but who knows, I guess time will tell. That's one of those things that
is a wait and see type of thing.

IIF, you need to share some of them there fish! (kidding) We are headed out sometime. I just found out
our dog sitter is going out of town for a dog show tomorrow night...so who knows when we'll be down but
we are desperate for some fish!

Well Deb, that's the thing, you CAN'T sell the trophies once rugged or mounted

That rule still is in effect. It's good for me because I often get things in trade for making hats and mittens and I've never been able to take bear hides before, now I can. I could always MAKE things from bear skins and sell them, but sometimes a whole hide is better!

I gotta get the old fish outta the freezer and get it canned... not that we'll have time to go fishing

WW, yep, I know....but what I meant by trophy was moose, bear, caribou, sheep, goat, not necessarily a "mounted" trophy (the term in general) .... I just hope there won't be a whole
lot of wanton-waste going on just to make a buck. I think it's a good tool, as long as that tool isn't abused... Time will tell though.....
