Well I didnt have any band-aids big enough so I used medical tape.....

Ok I found a band-aid that would work, seems it holds it a little more "stiff" than the tape did.....

Set at 10am on the 27th... it's now 8pm on the 28th and NOTHING is happening....

I have 100 degrees and 40% humidity.... I guess this is counted as day 2?

WW, one whole day would be 10am-10am, that is day one. At least that's how I calculate it. Or I just don't count the
first day and the day after is day one.

Baby hasnt changed any. I have a feeling if there is no change tomorrow I'll be culling him. I hate to say that because he's eating
and drinking just fine but if he cant get around....I just don't know. I hate this part!

Sounds like your guy may be a special needs chick. I work full time and Rice N Beans did fine for those 3 years. She recently died from the heat I assume. Chickens all have different constitutions and personalities, like all animals.

I guess it's not critical what day one is... somewhere close to the 16th is when they should begin hatching I assume.

to you and the baby! From what you are describing, it sounds like a muscle or ligament or tendon isn't developed properly and maybe that's why he's pulling it back in? Maybe it's just contracting and he's not doing it? I'm just going on critter experience, not chicken experience!

How many more days will you give him?

I'll probably give him till tomorrow evening, that'll be 4 days. Each time I go in to check
on him I try to get the courage up to cull him. It just gets harder each day, I should have known
better and just did it on day one.....

As for your eggs, lock down will be day 18 and usually about day 20-21 they'll start popping out if all goes well......So keep wishing for day 16!

I am done hatching for the year.....yup! Sure am! No way will my incubator be fired back up...(Unless I find Lav or BBS Orp eggs)......

I have Tori's two BR turkeys going into lock down on Friday, and I have some Lavs in there as well, but they had a rough trip and arent doing much if anything
