Alaska Chicken Lover's Soup for the Cold!!

It's still out, then generator has been running since about 8:30 this morning. I am glad I had an extension cord long enough to reach or I'd be losing the food in my fridge by now.

No worries... there's another one, too, just a little younger, looks just like it. I'd have to do an inventory on the rest... too many to just "look" at them.

Winds still gusting here, but at least it's died down some.

No worries... my Orpingtons are not going anywhere, and there will be more chicks in the Spring... from exhibition stock!

Tori, tell us more about these birds...where did they come from?

Hey everyone!!! I just wanted to thank you for being so helpful on FB. It has been a tremendous relief for my friend.

I have some very pretty blues and splashes from here.

They're 4 months old now, and looking really good. I can't wait until I can hatch some babies from them.

Power came back on here about an hour ago, after about 31 hours without. Sure put the kabosh on the burger grinding I can tell you!.
Did anyone else feel that earthquake last night. It went on for a long time here.

Yup, felt the earthquake. You must be on a different electric loop than we are, we were only out from 8am to about 6pm... only about 10 hours. I hope you had a generator for the fridge and freezers!!

I am so glad I don't have an incubator running...we are 20 hours without electric....water and heat. We had a little bit of relief yesterday....was I smart enough to take a shower?....... nope
