I definitely understand biting off more than you can chew! I'm terribly predisposed to that condition. Sometimes, though, it is SO nice to just SIMPLIFY!
I understand too! I want to breed two breeds, Orloffs (and someday the MAHOGANY ones) and Norwegians. Other than that I want everyone else to lay eggs, and I'm going to start breeding Rocky to the heavier girls and see what I get for size and growth when I hatch.
The Big Girl Gang is still not happy having the two new chickens around. I'm thinking about breaking up their gang of four and then reintroducing everyone in about a week. Does anyone have any other suggestions?
Tori is a Rubbermaid bin large enough for a Silkie mama to brood in? I already have 2 bins that are in the house slated for babies, so I could easily convert one to a brooder box.
