*~Alaska to Ohio~*18 Eggs* Cold Weather Test Day 23, 0% Hatch.

I was candling some other eggs in my 'bator tonight, and couldn't resist running the flashlight quickly over the dorking eggs, even though they have only been in there since Sunday morning. I didn't do them all, just a few, but I saw veins!!

Whew. I was so worried. I still am, until I hear that you have pips. Mine tend to hatch day 21/22... so be patient with them.

Your millies should be spunky, and your brahmas will be fuzzy little chunks... I call them all Baby Huey until they grow out of their dumpy baby phase...

So far, the eggs are looking really good!! For traveling as far as they did, in as cold as weather as Alaska and Michigan and all in between has, I think they are doing awesome!!

Lessee... looking at my notes, your first #16 (after #5) is #6... 51grams, Pen 1. There should have been a #8... We're there 18 eggs in the package? Did I mess up? I could have sworn I had two bundles of 9...
sad.png
I'm sorry if I did. But still, it looks like you'll have a nice handful of babies there, and for sure at least one male and one female so you can start your own little flock!

That's awesome!! I shipped those on 2/17... our low was 28°F, our high 36°F. I don't know what the weather was like in between us, but that's not bad... not bad at all!
smile.png

Aly, yours shipped 2/5... out low that day was -1.8°F, and our high was 20.8°F. Still not bad, though you mentioned humidity problems that might have messed with the results. Still... you BOTH are having better hatches this winter than I did all summer last year...

All five of mine made it to the hatcher on day 18! We are on day 20 and nothing yet..I'm dying over here!!!
