I'm on the Kenai Peninsula. I've had chickens here for 4 years now. I wish you luck with your new flocks. The most cold hardy hens we've had are the Black Sex-link and the Rhode Island Reds. I'm ordering chicks through the mail for the first time this spring, so we'll see how that goes!Delta Junction! I am starting a new flock(s) of chickens, ducks, and geese. I got my first batch of chicks in the mail the day before yesterday and only 8 of the 31 made it. There was a problem with the postal. My ducks should be here in april, I am getting excited for spring!!
