Alien chicks...what do you think?

I have a couple of chicks (about 6 weeks old now), that seem to have come from somewhere alien. As in...I can't figure out who their parents are! One is developing a crest and has ear muffs, the other has no crest and no muffs but otherwise looks identical. Pretty sure they are both pullets. They both have yellow legs that are NOT feathered. They both have some kind of barring that makes them appear spotted. When they were smaller, they were both black colored with white spots on their heads; I thought they were sex link roosters until I realised I didn't have any pairs that would create that.
Any help would be most welcome.

Possible parents are the roo pictured (some kind of RIR cross?) with a Black Austrolorp hen

FBCM roo over RIR/Amerecauna mix hen
or
FBMC roo over RIR
or
FBMC roo over Swedish Flower Hen
or
FBCM roo over white hen pictured (unknown breed)

If alien = mixed breed then I'd say your got yourself some regular back yard mix breed chickens.
Look pretty normal to me.

Alien = where did that crest come from when I have no crested birds. But yeah, they are normal enough for barnyard mixes.
