Hi all. I have a bird with an extremely rare disease that the University of Georgia is very interested in.
She is not contagious, it is transmitted from the hen through the egg, and there is no way of transmission to any one.
I have considered the trip myself, but it is just too long for me to be away from the rest of the flock.
I can meet you for pick up anywhere in the tri state area, or possibly further.
We all know what the post office does to live bird shipments, and in the summer, I just cannot take the chance of killing her.
If anyone can help out in this matter, please reply here or PM me.
I am told they do have a expense account to reimburse me for costs, so you will will be compensated.
Thank you, Roberta
I will also start another thread, as this one seems a little dead.
