Grrrr Butterscotch is all bare on the back.. darn roo's... she's been like that for a LONG time... I don't know what to doo...

Well, I think the only thing to do for it is to separate the rooster from the hen for a while. She should eventually grow the feathers back.
I think people use those chicken saddles when they can't keep them apart. It saves the hen from getting hurt because they don't have the protection from the feathers.​

Here's a picture I took tonight. I went out to check on them for the last time tonight, and Butterball came running (like usual) and then squatted (because she always does that when I am around her/pet her) and then she started pecking at my shoe.

I bet Butterscotch is jealous.

Very cute though. I don't think I could ever get another BO while Butterball is alive.
She gets very jealous the way it is.. When 'mom' is outside, nobody gets attention but Butterball.
