All about Buff Orpington's AND Rhode-Island Red's !! CHECK THIS OUT!

I have 2 RIR's and 2 BR's I have to say that the BR's are way more personable then the RIR. One of the RIR won't even leave the coop/run to go free range with the others. They don't like to be touched or picked up. My BR's are just the opposite.

I have 4 adult BOs that are laying well, or were until it got so darn hot. I let them free-range mostly now to keep cool and the 4 girls (really 3, one's broody on mix Cochin/Orp eggs right now) are giving me 1-2 eggs a day. There may be more if they are laying somewhere I can't find!

My RIRs and BRs are just getting to laying age and they have started laying little bantam-sized eggs daily now. The BRs and Orps are more touch-friendly than the RIRs. I have half a dozen more Orp girls that are just a little younger than the BRs and RIRs. They are also more friendly than the RIRs.

Can you tell me at what week did you R-I-R or B-ORF start laying eggs ? Ive got some around 20 weeks old and was wondering if there close to getting with the program...LOL
