Hello everyone.
My actual Name is Renea Lopez people call me cookie as it has been my screen name since the computer was created. lol
I have 126 chickens 120 Hens and 6 confirmed Roosters. We think there is a surprise in the hen house as we believe we are hearing the beginning of a little chicken Crowing.
We have several breeds and a few that came in a package deal. 84 of our flock were born at the end of April 2019 the 32 more are all under 18 months old the rest are about 2 1/2 years old they are the survivors from a fire that just about wiped out our farm forever.
I am always looking for new Chicken friends. I love to read so I buy just about every chicken book I can find and even have a set of chicken or poultry & fowl medical books but book learning is one thing but talking to real people who own real chickens in this time and date to me holds just as much if not more weight to me.
I am married to a wonderful man. We will have been married for 30 years this October 31st 2019. Married straight out of High School. We live in a very small town named Lovelady. It is in the Great state of Texas. population under 1200 and I love it. We have lived in Texas for the past 22 years. Life before that is a fast city blurr. Texas is our home and we will never leave her.
Not counting our chicken children we have 3 children all grown and on their own. We are the proud grandparents to 9 grandkids all are here in Texas. We have two doggie kids Dachshunds and we have 4 barn cats who ended up moving into our extra bedroom and just freeload now but im fixen to get them back to work at least part time. We have 8 Peacocks coming or Peachicks this August.
My husband and I also do Foster care as needed on emergency basis for disabled young adults and children.
