Hello. I have some chickens that are now roughly 5 months old. I have 21 in total of varying ages. All my chickens have some colour in there eyes. But just one of the 5 month old hens is completely black with completely black eyes. She's a pretty little thing but I was just wandering how common this is? They are all mixed old breeds.
    Thanks

The Black Australorps, Jersey Giants and the Sumatras are all black chickens. There are probably others that I can not think of right now, LOL, but the ones I listed are the most common ones. You can post this pic in the What Breed section here on BYC for better ID....

Very cute bird! I am a fan of the all black chickens and I only keep Black Australorps. [IMG]
