dang...my female is singing her head off. Her mate died this last summer...so I guess no eggs for me! lol

i used hard boiled eggs for rearing babies, my did great on that, i sold most of my birds(non poultry) i have 2 male canaries that compete in singing and my 15 yr old amazon parrot

We had an orange male like the one pictured fly in to an open garage. He had bands around both legs. He is now with the Humane Society in case someone is missing him but if nobody claims him I think I would like to adopt him. I do not have any birds now but thought it would be nice to have him as a pet. I have no interest in breeding canaries. Do any of you see this as an issue--keeping a single male alone as a pet?
