I agree 100% with the OP. I actually almost said something myself, but as you see in my sig. I am a thread killer (sorry if this dies lol I have to state my opinion). It really upsets me when people's only option for a mistempered duck is to cull him or her. I am not a vegetarian, but there are certain meats I don't eat, ducks being one of them. I don't see how anyone can eat them and we are all entitled to our own opinions. I have come across a few posts that were about duck meat here and the subject did NOT have a warning. I too would appriciate it if people would post about duck meat in the meat section. I have a VERY soft spot for animals because honestly they are helpless and I HATE to see suffering animals myself. Those animal donation commericals almost make me want to cry, more than the starving children

don't hit me please lol. Anyway, thanks for reading my rant. lol

With all due respect lovesduckies, because I understand how you feel about your ducks (and I still want your title

), but how many people who raise meat birds (excluding the big guys) raise them in a state of suffering? Suffering is an enduring state, suffering is something that lasts. That is not the goal for most of the people who raise any kind of animal for food. It is not the goal of people who hunt animals for food. In fact, a lot of questions about raising meat birds of any kind center on how to make the end as painless and as least tramatic as possible. We all have our soft spots, but, IMO, if we all cater to them as a group, we loose a lot of potential for learning.

If there is a thread here that is felt to belong in another section, just use the report button. This section is about ducks. Not "Pet Ducks", but ducks.

That said, I have never seen a thread about meat ducks that was not titled as such.

The choice to open it or not is up to the reader.
