All flock feed?

This is the article I’m thinking of. It’s old though, 2015. Perhaps they’ve changed their formula since then?

Here’s a list of all recalled pet foods from the American Veterinarian Medical Association, and the reasons for the recalls. I’m ashamed to say I’ve fed my cats many of these products on the quest to find something they would all actually eat. You never truly know all the ingredients that are in mass-produced food. Although it’s been recommended to me, I’m not talented enough, nor have the time to make my own cat food from scratch. I feed them what is convenient for me to obtain. If it’s recalled, I switch to something else.

Fortunately I don’t see any Purina poultry feed on the recall list, so I’m sure it’s perfectly safe for our flocks to consume. My feed store only sells Country Time or Nutrena, and since I’m easily susceptible to advertisements, and have only seen/noticed Nutrena ads, that’s what I feed my flock. I don’t know anything about the origin of the Country Time brand of feeds, but I’m sure they’re just fine. If my store sold Purina feed, I’d try that out, but for now I can only order it off amazon through a third-party for usually double to triple the price of Nutrena. I love my flock, but I don’t want to spend $38 on a 25lb
bag of feed from amazon when I can go to my agri supply store and get 40lbs for $15.

We used to buy Dumor from TSC, but they became super overpriced so we switched to Ranch Pro at Atwood’s. It’s $12 for 40lbs at Atwood’s vs almost $40 for 50lbs at TSC. We get our shavings from either Atwood’s or our local feed store, roughly 7 cubic ft for $4-5 vs 3 cubic ft for $10 at Walmart. The shavings at TSC were almost $20 for like 2 cubic ft, but I think is was supposed to be higher quality.
