Man this is crazy no stores around me carry All Flock Feed and to buy online shipping is the same amount as a bag of food so I'm paying twice as much! $15.99 bag, $15.00 shipping!! Any other ideas for duck feed anyone? Again, I have a drake as well as ducks!

I buy this 20190323_064315-2.jpg at TSC, if Flock Raiser is not available or if it's fresher. 18% Protein and Non-Medicated. If you don't mind a crumbles feed.
It's equal to Country Feeds All-Flock nutritionally and has Probiotics and Prebiotics. GC
ETA; Another member emailed the company about the niacin and they said it contains 125 ppm. If I remember correctly. You could do the same.

I've been feeding Purina Flock Raiser for years now and haven't had any problems. May be helped by the fact that it's a popular feed at the store so it's always fresh.

I've tried the Nutrena All Flock and their meat bird feed. I was disappointed in both. The bottom 1/4 of the bag was mostly dust. Also, the birds didn't seem to like it much. Even the monster eaters (CX, and BBW turkeys) left food in the feeder. On the other hand when they got Purina they gobbled it up.

I didn’t ask, but I assumed it was a quality issue since they have been known to have toxic ingredients in their dog and cat foods.

^^^ That is why I tried to avoid Purina. I understand chicken feed is much different than dog food, but the company is the same. Unfortunately, this evening I noticed that 2 of my pullets are eating feathers. They've been on Nutrena which has 18% protein, so I decided to try them on the Purina Flock Raiser which has 20% protein. I'll be looking into other 20% protein options as soon as I can get to a feed store.

Edited to add correct information. I was wrong and the pet food company is different than the livestock company.

Purina Flock raiser has been fine here for decades! I always check the mill date on each bag, and only buy fresh. Feed stores will sell old stuff if they can, so watch every bag of whatever you buy every time. I much prefer there open dating too, and resent companies who use 'code' so the actual mill date isn't obvious. I don't remember who they are, sorry.
Purina Mills livestock feed is Not closely connected to the pet food branch, by the way.
Many companies got nailed years ago over the melamine from China disaster, and that problem seems to be over.
If you check the FDA or CDC or veterinary organization websites, or google 'pet food recalls' or 'pet food problems' there are ongoing issues with multiply companies over food safety.
Livestock feed is better regulated than pet food, as far as I can see...
