All grey chick with feathered feet... what breed?

I don't have any pictures, but I am not sure where to start. My friend just picked up an 8 week chick that is all grey/dark grey and has feathered feet. The people at the feed store didn't know what it was as it isn't any of the normal breeds they carry... must have been a mix up from the hatchery. Any idea what it might be so I can look it up? thanks!!

A picture would be very helpful of course, but a couple that come to my mind are cochins and silkies.

cochins, silkies, and d'uccles all come to mind here

cochins will have a straight comb
silkies will have black legs,5 toes, and a crest (these may or may not have a beard)
d'uccles will have straight comb and a beard

thanks!!! I don't recall a beard, but I will ask her today. I am leaning towards a blue cochin.

OK, I really think it is a blue cochin. It has the lacey looking feathers. There were a few flecks of gold on her neck though... she is 8 weeks old.

cochins should have yellow legs and feet, but hatchery birds tend to have slate legs, Post a pic!! lol it will hep determine for sure a breed

it could be a blue copper marans with the copper coming in on the neck but if you can get a pic it would really help...if marans it should have slate colored legs with light to moderate feathers on the legs and a straight comb
