That's hard to say. It's between Gloria Jean, Shelby and Wynette. Shelby is squatting and Wynette is in the nests often, though no one is actually sittting in them yet.
How sweet of you to say! I'm pleased with this group of youngsters. The two Buff Orp girls, Hope and Grace, are in the main flock. They are both lovely, but Hope is the biggest pullet of that age I think I've seen. She's looking at the nests and Isaac was starting to chase her a bit so maybe it won't be long for her and her sister, either.

I bet she is going to lay some big brown eggs!
Isaac is a Delaware, if I remember correctly, right?
Once they start to squatt it isn't very long until you begin to see eggs popp'in out. Last summer my LF Dark Cornish girl, Autumn, was the first girl to start off laying. She would squatt and stawmp her feet!
It was so funny! Infact, she still does it to this day! You walk up to her and she squatts really low to the ground and stawmps her feet. She is being broody rightn now, the naughty girl!
I'm hoping to start seeing some eggs soon! I have a couple of nice folks waiting for them. And I want to get a son of Rex's in the spring for myself for a spare BR rooster.
