Guys, whats the safest method of marking your eggs, do you use marker, pencil...I have never hatched before. So am gathering all the info i can.

I got shipped eggs marked with magic marker, and I mark mine with pencil. I'd say pencil is probably safest, but I don't think magic marker will hurt them as long as you're not decorating the entire egg

Hehehe! i was thinking a kid safe nontoxic marker i have tons of those if they aren't all dried out!

I put 15 in lockdown, and they are not *officially* due till late Friday night, so I still have a little wait for the rest LOL!

Woohoo! Grats! I got my first baby too. The little guy was a whirlwind hatcher. He went from resting up from his pip to full hatch within an hour. I was a little miffed because I missed the while zip and hatch stage due to him being in such a goshdarn hurry.

No more pips from the other eggs. They aren't technically due until today, but I'm worried. And poor Rincewind complained all night about how lonely he is.

Awwwww cute! I think we both just have one overachiever in the bunch. None of my others are pipped yet either. They are not officially due till tomorrow though, so I don't think it's anything to worry about. The early birds just wanted to beat the rush, I guess

Yeah, I think so too. I'll check on the eggs during my lunch break again today. I went to Best Buy last night to get a cheap webcam so I didn't have to go back and forth like this, but the stupid holiday shopping rush had that entire section of the store empty! How many people need webcams anyway?
