Nice! Luck on growing them out.

I keep running into issues my self with coccidia. Not that that's surprising as we have many strains here and it's hared on the young that aren't hen hatched.
I'll defiantly be posting pictures here.

Man, I'm sorry about that. Have you had many losses, or just dealing with sick birds?

Get a good quality pair, non-show quality birds eat the same amount as show quality. In the long run it's less expensive to have quality birds because you won't need to hatch as many to get the desired result.
If you want the color breeding experience then keep whatever you want and breed toward the color you desire.
You know, that's a fair point. Thank you for that.
I'm really trying to be as efficient with these bantams as I can. I really need to start making money on these guys so it can actually be a little side business for myself.
Not sure how long you've been following this thread, but I'm trying my hardest to become a well known breeder here, in my home state. I'm starting to get some recognition from people, but it's only because I raise these old English, not for their quality.

Would you by chance know of any reputable OEGB breeders that ship?

I don't know if you use FB but there are alot of OEGB groups on there. I'm in a group from Texas and I do think some of the breeders ship birds from there. They have been a wealth of information and I feel also much less arrogant than breeders of other breeds. They seam to just be easier to talk to and learn from. I'm actually leaning more to OEGB because of the people that breed them. Plus OEGB have such great personalities.

I have some rather unfortunate news from this week.

My brown red project has come to an end.
I lost my main breeding rooster to starvation (He had constant food in his pen, it's nothing I did, he just refused to eat this specif feed. I tried feeding him, but tit had no effect.) so I ended up selling the brown red hen and I'm considering selling my brown red maker hen and one of my BB red cockerels as a pair.
Then I can put some good money towards a new, quality line of BB red's, SDW, White, or Blue.

What do y'all think, sell the pair and start fresh with better quality birds, or try again on the brown reds??

I'd love to hear from you guys.

I also hope everyone had a wonderful Independence day!
Ahh that’s terrible! You could sell them and buy brown reds or you could do as you said and buy better quality birds for your BB red, SDW, White or Blue

There's someone I know of on facebook, but I don't know if they ship. They have OEGB and win their classes pretty consistently in some of the shows. I'll ask them.
