All my crazy projet ideas!

The new, surprise additions are Aztecas!

I got a brown red show quality male, imported from Mexico, and place 3rd in his last show.
I also got a completely unrelated hen to breed him with, she's really short leged, so I think they will out off some great offspring. :)

Brown red male: (He looks a little rough, but he's molting)

The blue (?) pullet:

I was sold this male with the pullet above, was told he was an Azteca as well, but I'm not sure...?
I am sure of one thing, he is beautiful. (Again, he"s also is molting.)

Here's a little update on that BB red cockerel I hatched early January. He's looking mighty fine, I'll probably keep him. He looks really good for my the F1's from my line.

He's got really nice dark red plumage coming in, which, was exactly what I was hoping would happen. :D
He's also got pretty decent wing edging.

Okay, now for the most exciting thing.

This morning I got a call from the post office saying my live birds had arrived, anyone wanna guess what I bought? No?
Okay, well I got a trio of show quality BB red's from North Carolina! The guy I worked with was awesome; very kind, and had wonderful communication. I will be giving him a shout-out here, so if anyone is interested in buying birds from him, hit me up and I will let you know is phone number. His name is Mr Cody Cooper.

Now, allow me to show you these wonderful new additions:

My male. He is very stunning, really nice darn red color, and very nice stance. Mind you, this is the first outside line male I've ever brought in, in the 4-5 years I've been doing this.

All beautiful!!!!

I won't be getting to do any shows this year unfortunately.
I'm sure you'll be able to do very well! Your birds look great!
Oh yeah, why so? Just not ready?
Thank you, again. I hope so. But if I don't, it's okay. That just means I'll have to up my game a little more to leave the other breeders in the dust. 😈

Nah, stupid Bird flu. I really wanted to show the pullet I entered in BYC fair this year, she's my favourite of my last sussex hatches.
Also had to decide not to bring any new birds in which is really disappointing cause i was gonna get a bunch of new sussex come spring :hmm

I'll have to find your pic, I don't think I've seen her.
Sorry you weren't able to show, and not get new blood. I hope the bird flu clears up for you.

Thanks! I'm thinking i need to do a random hatch from a bunch of my birds soon 😅 Just whatever, purebred or mixes. Might be needing some spare layers cause last I heard egg prices are getting bad because of the bird flu.
