That stinks. Sorry to hear about your losses. minks and weasels in general are just so relentless when they attack. Most times they don't just kill a bird or two, but all too often take out a lot if not a whole flock. Very frustrating.

Got one! Went to check traps this morning and what do I find in the trap right outside the duck door? a mink!

It's a (dead) male and I hope that there is not a female out there too.

Good work. Although mink are solitary creatures, a male's territory overlaps that of several females. There may very well be a female in the area. The musk from the male will be a strong attractant for any mink in the area. Keep your traps set.

Skin those critters out and make some muffs. At least get something out of this mess.
