My bourban hen was setting on 15 eggs and a few days ago I checked on her and she only had 9 eggs. Then yesterday those 9 eggs were gone. No shells or anything. I don't believe she ate them, but don't know for sure what would have gotten that many eggs, unless the crows are back at it again. Crap, so last night I gathered all the turkey eggs I could find and brought them in, may have to bator them. Any suggestion on how to keep crows away. I have lost around 25 of my turkey eggs now and am just sick about this. I have 9 in a bator that are hatching now. Really wanted to have a good hatch of turkeys this year.

they make these ballons with eyes on them, they are mylar and last a while. if you tie them so they are floating about 10 feet in the air with a few ribbons tied to it dangling it may scare them away. I would put out a few and see if it gets any responce. you can also just buy spiderman, smileface, or any other type that has eyes, I used a bunck like that last year to help keep hawks away and it worked a little bit, they certainly did not like the balloons and since the wind moves them it seemed alive to them I think.

I covered my run with shade cloth to keep the scrub jays from eating my eggs.
there is one thing you may want to consider, ... a snake. They can come in at night and get the eggs right out from under the bird, so I hear, haven't had the snake problem yet.

If it is a snake, it must be a BIG one to eat 9 huge turkey eggs. I don't fancy seeing a snake that can do that. EEEWWWW......

Think I will do some hiding in a blind with my shotgun my next day off, with a few eggs to entice what ever it is, and then see what happens.
