. If by locked up you mean have slowed down on laying.. YEA! (All of them have slowed down but these were the first to slow down. Was getting 2 green and 1 blue at least 2xs a week. Now only getting the one that I'm calling whiteThat finally occurred to me also, three hens laying colored eggs, three hens locked up. Is it the correct three?
I’m new here, first post. I have three hens and we got them as chicks in early March 2017. We have been getting three medium to dark brown eggs per day until a week or so ago. Now we only getting one or two eggs a day and the color is light brown. I know the weather is changing and days are getting shorter but are the color of the eggs from yong hens supposed to change. They get later feed everyday and all they want from feeder and I give them cat food as a treat everyday and with the cold weather I feed them cracked corn daily now too. On weekends they get mealworms which they Love. They were getting watermelon two or three times a week when it was in season but I’m stumped by the egg shells being lighter. We live in Glen Rock, Pa.
The only "color enhancing" feeds that I know of have things to enhance yolk color. I've NEVER seen one that will enhance shell color. Please tell me where you've seen them? There are color enhancing feeds . You might try one of those
Thank you that is a lot of very great information! you really know your stuff! I took a pic of one of my white eggs today, and you are correct. it isn't as WHITE As I thought when I put it on a styrofoam plate! But (and maybe it is my eyes) but I don't see any shade of the green or blue I was getting from them before, if anything maybe a peach tint? Please I'd love your advice. I wish I had taken more pics of my green eggs, and my blue ones that I was getting. But I didn't unfortunately so I only have the pic i posted previously, and this is what they look like now. I'm not sure if this egg is from one of my two "green layers" or my one blue layer...

Haha ohhh yes. They are the three that are locked up. But in their own coop and run.. not necessarily locked upI think what he meant by 'locked up' is that you separated the 3.
