All quitters?

If the chick were sent by Priority Boxes then they come automatically with insurance. You have to document that they were improperly shipped so your local Post Office learns from their mistake.
I'm a former PMR (Post Master Relief) for USPS.
It depends on your definition of a fortune, I suppose. They were $55 for the lot, which for me is certainly a lot. I'm pretty devastated. The first round I had 3/7 make it to lockdown, and 2 healthy babies hatch, and I was cool with that since they were shipped eggs...but I really think the post office's mistake wrecked these guys.

I didn't know that - they were shipped priority! I'll see what I can do, then. They were purebred wheaten and white Ameraucanas - my favorites. ❤️ I am thankful to have the two I hatched last time, at least - a blue and splash - and hopefully I can try again one more time this year.

I am FAR from an expert as I am on my first hatch. But it looked like their were veins in those eggs still. I know with mine when it quit the veins were gone with in a day or two. So I would give it more time. If you don't see any veins at all anymore then yes I would say they quit. But don't give up yet. I only have 1 left in the incubator and I swore it was dead as I didn't see movement or veins at one candling but checked again and thought i may have seen veins so left it and sure enough it is still growing! mine is on day 17 today!

Hello everyone! It’s day 7 for my newest batch of 7 eggs, and I am not feeling so hot about this. 3 failed to develop at all, and I don’t think the remaining 4 are looking so good… :(
The post office made a big mistake. Instead of calling us to pickup, as was written on the box, my eggs went for a long, cold, bumpy ride before they were delivered. I was hoping it wouldn’t hurt them, but…
I can see veins, if they quit the veins would break down very fast. Dont turn them so fast, slow and gentle, let them stay still and look for movement, you might be able to see some at this point, possibly. Could you take photos of the eggs being candled, as clear as you can, of the veins and embryos, Im not sure if all of them are alive, but some I do believe are. Definitely keep them for a few more days

I normally do turn very slowly! I just wanted to make sure the ‘sloshing’ was visible on camera. I will candle them again tonight or tomorrow and see if there’s any change.

I lied. I candled a few minutes ago, and I think two are alive! One certainly has movement. I’m not certain about the others. These look much different than my last batch - almost cloudy looking; rather than just clear veins - but maybe…

They’re back in the incubator. I’m going to check again tomorrow or Sunday…

I may be in the minority here but I reckon they might all be alive still, less certain on the "cloudy" ones of course. I think waiting until sunday is the best case of action, sometimes they look weird and you get a change! It happens sometimes. Movement sounds very promising! Hopefully on sunday we see some positive signs!!
