Cackle said they don't use USPS tracking because they are often wrong but that the chicks would arrive "within 72 hours". So, all day today at work there I was on pins and needles. No call though. I stopped by PO on way home and nada. Cookie, the clerk said they would arrive in the morning after I asked what happens if they come after postal hours. Our po closes at noon on Saturdays.
I am no so confident, but this is a country town and I am sure chickens in the mail is not new to them and she confirmed that to be so. At least I had time just now to set up the brooder. I will turn the plate on before I go to bed as I understand I want to make sure all is working BEFORE the chicks arrive.
