well to make a long story short...i have 32 guinea eggs in bator still have 9 days to go...i did not know my husband had put 6 chicken eggs in bator,20 days ago, and with the luck i have had with shipped eggs i have just really not cared and let him do the work...when i would check water there would be none, very dry wells, never took those 6 eggs out of turner on day 18 because i did not even know they were i there...i guess you could say he just put hem in there and left them probalby there was water in wells for 5 days total... and this morning i had 2 little chicks up crawling allover guinea eggs...when i would try to hatch my shipped eggs and duck egg i check humidity temp, turned, kept everything as i have read and had nothing..and he does nothing and has chicks..UGH

it figures...we try, we sit, we watch, we hope, we adjust knobs...temps ...humidity and we struggle...they come along and BAM!!!!

When I first got chickens...27wks ago...I never saw who crowed first...honey did....when the first egg came...honey found them....I never did....when a egg was layed, honey saw it layed I didnt...it took me I kid you not 4wks to see my first egg layed, even with me sitting out there and waiting as I knew they were going to lay!!!! I would wait and wait....finally I'd say guess not...I'd walk away and come back, and boom theres an egg....

My daug. in law came over, said I want to see a hen lay an egg, I said you cant ...you never know when its coming....we are standing there talking...and she says, "Oh my god!!! she is laying an egg and I see it coming out!!!! I turn around and sure enough...vent up...egg pushing out, one push, two push, three pushes...flop...egg....
