I leave my coop door open so my girls can come in and lay when they need to, BUT I have every dove, sparrow etc. getting in there all day and I don’t know what to do 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ I don’t have constant food for the girls because of this also and feel bad about it.
WHAT can I do to keep the wilds out ???

This is their coop. They free range all day, but I want them to be able to go inside if they need to lay an egg.

Can you put a smaller automatic/manual door on it to prevent such a big opening? It would be harder for those other birds to go in vs that big door

I maybe could buy the doves and finches can fit thru, so not sure if that would be the answer

I feed my free-range chickens twice a day. The songbirds and squirrels just eat whatever my chickens leave behind. They've never been an issue

But do the other birds come IN the coop and eat ? All the wild birds clime in mine and that’s the issue
