Grits knows about the hijinks and is NOT pleased with you. She found out about the broodies, her SD gave it up, even sent her pics. I just got a call from Grits, asking me to let you all know that she is not happy with the THREE broodies at her house!

Actually, I was waiting for sour but he's dawdling today........ probably in the coop coaxing hens to go broody
Anyhoo, yes, Grits is having fun. They are still in LA, visiting DH's aunts and cleaning the state out of mudbugs, etouffee and boudin! Grits has decided she loves it there......
because everybody talks like her!
ETA, the SD is doing a great job with the chickens, seems to be actually enjoying her charges!
The broodies, so far, are Jethro, Doe and Mi.

I work with a woman from Louisiana born & raised, has no accent. I was totally shocked when she told me she was from LA.
btw- Sour must of put a little extra spin on his broody magic yesterday. When I went out to lock up the coop, I was missing my RIR. Found her, in the dark sitting, on an egg, in the bamboo thicket.
