All white French Black Copper Marans?

I've heard that several Marans breeders are working to get white Marans recognized by APA. Hang on to it. You may end up with a hot commodity !

Maybe OP can shed some light.
Post said they were two weeks old. By now it should have feathered in wings etc. Wouldn't white be all white and wheaten have some color showing now?

I did always hear a lot of the BCM had wheaton mixed in. I always hoped I'd hatch some. Never did though.

yes some wheaten chicks can come out of the impure BCM line .
wheaten come out of a BCM are smoky and more of clay type .

hope one day you ll manage to hatch some wheaten chicks .

Agree that it appears to be a white Marans. Chances are the siblings carry one copy of the recessive white gene. If you want more you can cross to them in hopes of getting white in the first generation, or you can cross that F1 generation back to the hen and get about 50% white offspring in the F2 generation.
