all who are hatching quail

I have courtix quail and was wondering if they will breed in the wild?... I want to let some loose on our pasture. Will they stay in the area? And will they reproduce on there own?

I've had catournix live over a year around my place until predators got to them.

it's very rare for them to breed on their own. but very possible. but the main problem I see is that they are way too easy for any predator to get.

You may have native bob white living in your area. I used wheat millet and flax to give them cover and food. I also recently found a seed called shallu which the ancient Egyptians used to attract quail. In my area all these are hard to find but I went to a health food store and bought 1/2 pound of each of the top ones. The shallu I got from rareseeds.com the plot does attract all types of birds but namely the quail covey that moved in. I don't have space on my land but a friend let me set up a plot on hers. So that may work to depending on your situation.

Just set 36 eggs from my young coturnix flock. 10 of which my son put in the frig for four hours before I found out. I pulled them out and let them sit at room temp for 20 hours then just put them in the bator. We'll see what happens. It is three days of eggs from my 7.5 week old flock.
