My shipped coturnix eggs should be here today.

I just set 50 jumbo Wisconsins and 30 jumbo coturnix yesterday. I also set an 'experimental' batch of 50ish jumbo Wisconsins. All of those shells had very light cracks in them when I got them. I read lots if threads about sealing the crack with candle wax and still being able to hatch some. So, I'm giving it a shot!! Can't really hurt anything. I'll candle them in about a week and see what happens.

Oh, and we hatch because I love seeing the babies, my little 'pecans', and we grow them to eat.

It's my first time ever hatching quail, and I have 16 eggs in from normal coturnix, white and buff coloured hens. I put them in two days ago. What day should I stop turning them?
