Allegedly Silver Laced Polish but looks different than the others. Any idea?

Thanks everyone! It seems there is a definite agreement here among you all.

They confirmed it is a lavender orpington. I can keep it and they're sending me replacement silver laced polish, so I'm feeling good about this.

Why are these so expensive? just the rarity?

Pretty much. It's still a fairly new color for that breed. It's also a recessive color, so you have to breed lavender to lavender to get lavender offspring. Any outcrossing ruins your color.

Just chalk it up as carma owed you one lol lavenders are much more expensive then the polish i Believe I have a flock of six beautiful birds

Sometimes hatchery' s don't have your order in stock did you tell them they could give you sonething of equal value that chick looks exactly like my lavender Orpingtons when they were young usually they go for 15-20 $ per female
