Well I am a total chicken newbie. My hubbys grandparents had them when he was growing up, so he has experience but not me. And his grandparents chickwns werent pets, they didnt have names or anything. I wanted chickens for years, finally my friend was getting rid of her hens and asked me if I wanted them. I started with all hens: an EE, a barred rock, two production reds, two white leghorns and two EE dibbies. I have added: four EE hens and a California gray dibby. I get 4-8 eggs a day! I want to add a maran and ill be done adding chickens lol.

I also have three horses (2 Tennessee walkers and a saddlebred), 4 cats, and a mini dachshund and a pit bull. Im an animal person lol. Im hoping to add bees in the spring and a dairy cow. :)

I love the board, I have learned so much in just a week!!

Well my chickens are dieing. :'( :'( im devastated. I lost a chick last night and it looks like my whole flock will catch it. Im beyond heartbroken. Other than tylan 50 what do I do?!?
