Allstate, they're kinda like the mob...

We had ALLSTATE

They did not seem to like us.

No accidents, no claims.

Well, we could get you a lower rate after review.......

YOU ARE FIRED!

Really, we do not miss them.

I wonder if they miss my payments?

it all boils down to - THEY have us where the want US " - we gotta have the insurance , so they do what they want - after 16 years with one company - home , auto -- had a small claim due to a house fire ( 4,000 in damages ) - they dropped me -ERKS --- I have had Nationwide ever since no claims no problem ...

One thing that really made me mad, some insurance companys will drop you if you have a certain breed of dogs ... just because I have German Shepherds could mean I lose my policy , even if they are not mean and I am a responible dog owner ...

grrrrr- don't worry Em - I got your back

We had Allstate for nearly 20 years, but after our roof blew off in a wind storm I dropped them. Allstate was the last insurance company to show up here in the neighborhood. They had a guy from the gulf coast drive here from Louisiana. It took him 3 weeks to get here. All the other insurance companies arrived within 24 hours. One company was even here during the storm. So between the raised cost because of the claim, I fired them. I found insurance for half the cost. DH re-roofed the the house that during the Christmas holidays. The roof should now with stand 90 mile per winds.

We have Allstate for the moment. Our insurance will go up just as it does with any insurance. We, too, do not have any ticket/violations. I asked this past time I switched and was told that the rising healthcare costs (for covering accidents) are mostly to blame. We are insurance shoppers. We switch every couple of years. Usually, we make our circle of places and start all over again. When I have been in an accident (not my fault), Allstate was great. The commercial/emails are pretty funny, though.

The worst enemy of ours is State Farm.......and how they treated the flood victims and tornado victims. All for the more reason I don't want them even they were begging for "please join back". Nope, not going to happen anytime.

I must admit those insurance companies commercials are funny. My favorite one is Aflack.

Alas I am stuck with Allstate for the next couple of years. Last year a girl backed into me as I was backing out in a parking lot. I was already out in the lane and she was clearly at fault. My son was leaning out the window yelling at her to stop before I had realized what was happening. They pretty much let it drop that we were both at fault until I pursued it further. Even then they couldn't collect but they gave me "accident forgiveness". Which in turn means that they show that I had a collision claim which essentially means that I was at fault. Whenever I go to another company for the next 2 1/2 years they will look, see that incident, and quote me double what I pay with Allstate. Since this is a family oriented forum I can't put on here what I write in the memo on my checks to them.

They are no different than any other insurance company. All garbage imho.

We have Farmer's and they have been good to us. A 100+ year old oak fell on the house during hurricane Ike 3 years ago and did major damage. They weren't here real quick, but after a phone call to my agent telling him the loggers were here to get the tree off the house, an adjuster called and set an appointment the next day.

When a pipe burst in our ceiling last December, it took a couple of weeks before the adjuster could get here, but he treated us right on our claim. both times we used money from savings to start repairs and secure our home before we recieved our check. I can see how bad it could be if you had to wait on your money with a damaged home.

So, I take it I'm the only Allstate is stalking? I saw an Allstate vehicle go up the road today and I ducked behind my fence. No kidding. I know they were probably up here for my neighbor who hit a tree the other day...but just in case...
