    I'm so glad I started working on building this while they were just an egg order......

    They are 3 weeks old and the coop is finally almost done.
    Still needs a coat of green paint, trim boards, locks, roosts, more staples, a little 12 by 12" chicken door....... but I think I can get most of that next weekend.

    Central California, so mild winters. Built under a tree to keep it cooler in the summer. You can see the whole slideshow of the build. 3 sided coop with 'run' attached. 8 by 16ft, all on cement pad. They will free range in the evening when I am home to watch them. 12 chickens.

    Oh this is Georgous!! WELL DONE! [​IMG] What a great design for your climate too - I wish we could have something this open and airy - yours will be happy chickens!
