My friend and I have spent the past two weekends and the better part of the week constructing my coop for four hens. I started with the plans and a partial kit for a mobile stagecoach coop, but scrapped the hen house part of those plans for something bigger and better designed for my needs (and my hens' happiness). I'm doing paint touch-ups tomorrow, and then we'll finish the roof, add the wire, add some trim, and put the wheels on the next day (or the next two days...whatever it takes). I'm not entirely sure the coop will indeed be mobile given all the weight we've added. I'll give it a go though. I'm getting excited to be soooooo close to moving my adult hen in, followed a couple months later by my chicks.

Not sure if you have any but shoving a plastic rain deter tarp underneath it will make it slide like butter wherever you need it.
Work for me and I moved my coop alone.

Neat looking concept. I also bought the CMS plans but never built them. I had some reservations about the size of the coop/housing portion but it looks like you may have solved those problems with your new design. I hope you post more pics when your project is complete.

Once we get the wheels on we'll have a better idea about the coop's mobility. The rain tarp sounds like a great idea. If the wheels don't function as I'd like, I'll add the tarp and see if that helps. Thanks!
