On April 21, 2014, I dove head first into my backyard chicken adventure. I have been reading BYC and finding out all kinds of priceless information! I installed the nipple watering system and automatic door most recently. Still need to make a roof over the run that will keep rain out and make my bucket shelf for the waterer better looking... Started with 12 pullets, a predator snatched one before I put some lattice over the run temporarily. The little ladies are 10 weeks old Wednesday! 9 Rhode Island Reds and 2 Black Beauty sex links.
The new mobile coop!
Aww look at the little cuties!
Gotta have signs on the coop! Solar charger for the door battery on the roof, too!
Timmy watches over his flock...
Can't wait to see eggs in the boxes around July!
Got an automatic door from chickendoors.com!
The door works as a perch apparently...
The automatic waterer is in place and they took to it immediately/ No more messy waterer!
Added a top to the feeder and a chain instead of string to hang it.
Using the perch outside now instead of the door!
