I tried feeding our 2 1/2 week old chicks some scrambled eggs, and almost started a riot in the brooder! They were hilarious!! One of them kept grabbing the biggest piece she could get, then running around in circles trying to find a spot where she could eat the whole big piece without one of the others coming up to steal a piece. She was chirping like mad the whole time.
On the plus side, they finally took the eggs from my hand, so now my hand is no longer a big scary thing that comes into the brooder. A couple of my more skittish chicks were still a little leery of the hand, but they still came up and got some egg from me. It's hilarious that they'll argue over a piece of egg that one of them has when my hand is right there, full of little bits of scrambled egg!!
