Hi all!
I have two girls with what I am sure is canker. They both have a black scab on their cheek but when you open their beek, you can really see the white and black scabs. I have separated them from the rest of the flock. I went to my local feed store today and picked up fish zole and acidified copper sulfate and started them on that today. Now here 's my question: one of my girls has VERY swollen tissue around her eye - the same side as the canker. Today, it's practically swollen shut. Can this also be a symptom of canker? Or are we dealing with something else? Thanks in advance for your help. I am pretty new to the chicken world and would do anything for my girls.
