in the last 3 weeks, so really only 1 wk and 2 days of work with DH's work schedule we have went from this:

nothing wrong with manual labor by kids:

Got to (albeit backwards) put in the opening for the chicken door on the other side, the window opening and the trim..
got to paint the $5 door...thinking off white maybe...

so..thats my deal today..thats what we did!

(On a side note...how many chickens do you plan for there? i know you just had an influx of chicks. iam in the same boat with a good-sized coop, but too many babies. LOL)

we currently have 31 chickens (darn chicken math..) but this is a 10x10 and only suitable for 25...so we'll have to butcher some later on in the summer...

the color: barn red @ menards..cheap!

ahhh..hubby just surpised me..

while myself and the kids were at taekwondo...he found some outdoor paint, a cream/off white color and painted the door one coat...
he said if I like it..we'll paint a second coat tomorrow a/m...
