    in the last 3 weeks, so really only 1 wk and 2 days of work with DH's work schedule we have went from this:





    nothing wrong with manual labor by kids:




    Got to (albeit backwards) put in the opening for the chicken door on the other side, the window opening and the trim..
    got to paint the $5 door...thinking off white maybe...

    so..thats my deal today..thats what we did!

    i REALLY love the color!!!! And actual roofing? WTG!

    (On a side many chickens do you plan for there? i know you just had an influx of chicks. iam in the same boat with a good-sized coop, but too many babies. LOL)

    we currently have 31 chickens (darn chicken math..) but this is a 10x10 and only suitable for we'll have to butcher some later on in the summer...

    ahhh..hubby just surpised me..

    while myself and the kids were at taekwondo...he found some outdoor paint, a cream/off white color and painted the door one coat...
    he said if I like it..we'll paint a second coat tomorrow a/m...

    Um why the deadbolt? To keep em in or to keep someone out.... LOL.
    I can picture little chickie lock picks dead of night one holding the other up while she picks the lock.... [​IMG]

    Yeh Yeh I know salvaged door... hee hee.
